This is exactly how I feel about most of my writing.

it apparently takes a whole day to recuperate after a night wedding. came home at 1:30am this morning and could barely get my self off the bed and into a computer chair by twelve hours later.

i still remember when after a great outing the head was samoye bol'noye mesto. now it's the feet. sad.

funny how many of us who claim to be atheists (myself included) still often use еxprеssiоns like "thank god," "oh my god" and "god bless you." i think it's time to come up with some atheistic phrases to substitude for these and some other coined anachronisms.

Another trip to the jungle await me tomorrow. This time it's Wall Street (thank god). Love bldgs where the subway entrance is build into the nice air conditioned lobby.

Today na sobstvennoy shkure realized that walking in midtown during lunch hour and high noon in a black suit and heels is not a lot of fun. How do you keep your sanity while trying not to melt, be late, break your neck by navigating cobble stones in stilletoes and shoving mouthgaping tourists out of the way all the same time?

just like Yul'ka also sitting and waiting for my husband (who's also Mishka) to come and feed me. unlike kievskiy Mishka he doesn't cook (or even attempts) but he can drive me someplace where someone will. cook. half hour ago he said he'll be in 20 minutes. husbands.

I wouldn't normally be upset with have 2 interviews, but this is such bad timing. I was so looking forward going to Europe and now it looks like I'll have to work instead. Ahhhhhhhhhh

I so don't miss work. But apparently it misses me. Although if either of these interviews work out I'll have lots of vacation. Both are European co's. I guess that's as close as I'll get to Europe this year. :(

Unfortunately reality bites. Time to do something more productive today, such as pick up dry cleaning and cook dinner.

Was gone for two days due to the greatest blackout in US history (I think Canadian too). Officials are still busy pointing fingers. I'm just happy to have AC, cable and computer back.

My guess - a week at the most. Sucks that most Russian stores will need more time, as they're less likely to trash everything and start from scratch.

Lately she claimed the computer chair as her domain from which is trying to evict me.

Apparently he's done a number of translations from Russian, Akunin among them. However, he didn't make any attempts at Erast Fandonrin. Interesting...

I feel like a total copy cat , after reading Yul'kiny translations got an urge to do some translating of my own. Did some research and discovered that the only English transation of Pelevin is done by an American. Now what can an American possibly understand in his work? But I guess I should read it before judging. Will have to pick up a copy this week.

Every since Yul'ka sent me a link to her journal, I've been toying with the idea of starting my own.

I used to have one when I was much younger and glossing over it now, the whole idea seems very silly.

But since there've been several complains about all this emptyness taking up space, I guess I'll give it a try.
