Hi, I’m Calvin. Annyeonghaseyo. You’re now watching Japan-Korean Music Craze. I really have to say thanks to JYJ. They really care about ties of friendship/brotherhood, so I just want to tell you all this: It’s Time To Show Your Love, I Love You! (T/N: JYJ gave a birthday greeting to him in previous weeks’ segment) Really want to say thanks to them. Okay, we shall properly and formally introduce their album now. First and for most, as you can see here, it’s their album The Beginning. New beginning. 10 songs that’s fully in english language and they really sang well, thus they came here to Taiwan for a concert/showcase. On the side is Yoochun’s drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal’s OST and they (JYJ) did sang in the OST too. As everyone knew, they came to Taiwan for a concert/showcase right? In fact, it’s an Asia tour and went to 7 cities. All the way from Seoul, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taiwan, Hongkong and Shanghai. A total of 7 showcases with 40k fans witnessing their new album and their singing abilities. It was really powerful. Now they are in their US tour consisting of New York, Vegas and LA. Right after that, will be their concert in Seoul on the 27th and 28th. Plus, listen carefully, they will be releasing new songs! Unreleased new songs. So if there are new songs by then, we’ll introduce to you. And now Jaejoong ah, JYJ’s Twitter popularity in Japan is very high. Do you know what rank is Jaejoong’s twitter account? That’s right! No. 1. (Their) popularity is indeed high, not only in Japan and Korea. Junsu and Yoochun are very popular as well. Here we have the interview with them when they are here in Taiwan. The things they want to tell you fans. Let’s take a look~!
Q: It’s been a long time since JYJ has been to Taiwan. What’s your feelings for this visit?
Jaejoong (JJ): The part that left me a deep impression was the huge number of fans welcoming us even though we have not been in Taiwan for almost 5 years. Honestly, we are really surprised by that. Plus the fans are able to sing the news songs along with us even though we just released our album not too long ago. Really, we are surprised but very happy. How to say this but we are able to feel the rapport between us (and the fans) during the performance. Fans cheering for us and maintaining the order between them….
Junsu (JS): They listen intently to us. When we need the cheering and interaction, they are very passionate. This gives us a boost and be even more energetic on stage.
[more]Q: What’s the reason for the release of an English album?
Yoochun(YC): We don’t actually restrict ourselves to release an English album as a definite. But this is an album we released after a long while, thus we want to share this to fans all around the world, and to have a close knit kind of feel with them. Therefore we decided to release an English album.
Q: Please introduce the album, The Beginnning.
JJ: For The Beginning, we have two (T/N: or ‘double’ like what JJ said. ^^ ) title tracks, Ayyy Girl and Empty. The producer and composer for Empty is Rodney Jerkins, and Kanye West’s involvement in it too. Each of us have our own self-composed tracks that’s included in the album too. We hoped to present another kind of genre through these songs. Although it’s a new challenge, we find it suitable to our style.
JS: It’s really been a long while since our last album. We are really worried about it but the caring and support from everyone gave us confidence, courage and support. Thus we are really thankful. In order to thank for the support and love, we’ll present to you all with even better music. I think this is the best answer/gift to everyone.

JJ: Don’t cry…
Q: JYJ has been busy, so what would you loved to do if there’s a break or in your free time?
JS: I want to go traveling
JJ: Honestly, ever since we debuted till now, we only went for a vacation with the members once. It was at an island oversea, but how long ago was it? 5 years ago?
YC: It’s been a long while…
JJ: Ya, it’s been about 5 – 6 years ago. To be able to go on a holiday with the members without any worries and concerns has been our biggest wish for a long time.
YC: No concerns, no worries… relaxing.

JS: The one I missed the most? Rather than the person I missed the most, the thing that left me a deep impression was the first time we were here and it was for the Golden Melody Award, isnt it? Ya, I think it was the GMA. (T/N: Yoochun suddenly remembered. lol.) That’s our first visit to Taiwan and we performed at the GMA. Until now… I still remembered.
YC: In fact I was worried that the tone will be too ‘ancient’ thus when I practiced, I tried to avoid the emphasis on the ancient-kind of tone. I feel it might be a bit too serious-sounding if I used the proper ancient tone. Thus, I end up using normal speaking tone for it.
JJ: Why? Why?
YC: What kind of tone?
JJ: Hello. (in a ancient language) This is Park Yoochun here. Like this.
JS: This is (I am) Lee Seon Jun here.
YC: I’ve never tried it.
JJ: Try it.
JS: I want to hear it too.
YC: How did I say it?
JS: You can try saying a line from the script.
YC: *clears throat* Oh, how did I exactly said it?
JJ: It’s been a while. Are you fine? (in ancient language)
JS: Isn’t there such a line? “Is this road that I’ve taken the right way? Please stay by my side” Just use this. (T/N: Junsu is really a SKKS fan!) I really like this line.
YC: *laughs*
JJ: Hurry up!
YC: I forgot about this line.
JJ: Hurry~~~
JS: PASS!
YC: Ah, let’s make it pass.
Q: Jaejoong starred in a Japanese drama not long ago and was nominated for best new actor by Nippon Sports. Did you pass on any acting experiences to Yoochun?
JJ: I passed on to him…. only the part of worry and unease. I told him that it’s going to be very tough…
JS:… to be prepared for it.
JJ: That’s right. Plus when he started the filming, the 3 of us already have our schedules as singers. To fulfill the schedules, there will definitely be stress physically and psychologically. ‘This part will be tough and thus, you got to be prepared and work hard for it.’ This is what I’d told him.
JS: There’s no plan for it at the moment. But if there’s a chance in the future or any suitable roles for me, I would like to take up the challenge. But there’s no such plan at the moment. I’ve never tried this (drama) before because (I) cannot seem to imput my feelings to it.
JJ: Because (he) will be laughing upon seeing the other party’s face.
JS: The role that I would like to challenge is… I would like to take up the role of a person who died after a illness.
JJ: I acted in Hamasaki Ayumi sshi PV not long ago, isn’t that about a person who died due to acute illness?
JS: *thinks hard* A heartfelt painful love story.
YC: Because (you) are sick/dying thus the heartfelt painful love…
JS: That’s right. Sad Story. *laughs* Oh why do I keep wanting to make jokes out of these?
JJ: For me, I think this should be a difficult scene in drama. Scenes about a normal everyday life. How do I explain? That… kind of daily life theatrical movie? The type where it depicts a person’s life? If there’s such a movie about describing a person’s life, I would like to challenge that.
YC: I really… although it’s not possible, I would like to challenge a superhero role. Superman, Batman, Spiderman. I would like to try such roles from a long time ago.
JS: Hero!
YC: Don’t you two want to try?
JJ + JS: Ya, we did.
YC: I would like to try. It would feel special…
JJ: I want to try the role of vampire.
YC: Roles like Dracula and vampire are suitable for you…
JS: Zombie… Vampire… Superman… Let’s just used these answers.
JS: As for next year’s project, there are no concrete plans as of yet. But first of all, irregardless of this album or the next, we would try our best to provide a performance platform to meet everyone. Please look forward to it.
JJ: We will come back to Taiwan again. As soon as possible.

Touring with JYJ in America and performing in the JYJ Worldwide Showcase in Seoul has turned dancer Telisha Shaw into an enthusiastic new Cassie.
Only two days after her return to LA, still slightly jet-lagged, Telisha agreed to a phone interview with DBSKnights. She was excited to share about her experience with Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu (whom she called "JJ, Micky and Jun"). In the past, Telisha has also danced with artists such as Janet Jackson, Christina Aguilera, and Green Day. But her experience is not limited to dancing, her "first love". Telisha has also acted in television shows Weeds and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and in the Hollywood film Step Up 2; The Streets as Felicia.

It was recently revealed that the trio of JYJ attempted to make an appearance on a broadcast show, but were subsequently rejected.
According to an industry representative, JYJ was scheduled to be in the line-up for KBS 2TV’s “31st Blue Dragon Film Awards” broadcast live on November 26th. The trio rushed to pass the KBS review a week before the ceremony in order to take part in the event.
Artists normally submit their work for review before the release of their album, but JYJ submitted their first album, “The Beginning“, nearly a month after its release. JYJ’s KBS review included a total of seven potential songs to be performed at the ceremony.
Unfortunately, their appearance ended up being miscast due to outstanding disputes with their agency, SM Entertainment, and pressure from the Korean Federation of Pop Culture and Art Industry (KFPCAI); the KFPCAI sent out official letters to both public and cable broadcasting companies, as well as major music distributors requesting to restrict the appearances of JYJ.
The “Blue Dragon Film Awards” is not the only event JYJ is barred from. The trio’s songs have yet to make radio or TV appearances two months into its release, despite viewers and listeners consistently requesting for their songs.
Another industry representative revealed, “JYJ will be met with more obstacles if they do not solve their issue with SM Entertainment. A lot of producers are raising their voices concurrently to exclude JYJ’s activities in order to make sure such a controversy does not happen again.”

Hideaki Tokunaga during his concert MC section have said “Even though a lot of people have done covers of my songs, but out of all of them Tohoshinki’s Jaejoong’s performance of Rainy Blue makes me feel the most touched. Because of many different reasons right now, it is hard for him to sing in Japan, but I will wait for the day he performs again……”

There was still a few hours to go before the concert would start, but at USC’s Galen Center, the LA venue for JYJ’s The Beginning Tour, there was already a seemingly never-ending line of fans, all excitedly chatting amongst themselves while waiting in the cold for the doors to open. I was immediately reminded of the intense fanaticism of every other Korean music event I’ve attended, and I thought to myself, “Ah, this is the power of K-pop.”
