Leoben is a small industrial city with a population of about 25,000 inhabitants, located in the province of Styria. It's best known as a center for mining and metallurgic industries, and is home to a mining university of world renown.

To the average tourist that may not sound too thrilling, but the beautiful historic center is definitely worth a short visit, and because of its small size and walkable distances, you don't need a lot of time to take in most of the sights. See for yourselves....

Graz is Austria's second largest city. Even though it's pretty small compared to Vienna, I was really surprised at how urban it felt. In some ways, I even thought it had a little more character than Vienna.

I only had an hour and a half in the early morning to walk around a bit, and the weather wasn't very conducive to taking great pictures. It was all gray, foggy, and towards the end it also started to rain.

Anyhow, here's what I got:
