Our next NW album

Hi everyone,

Since you sometimes ask me about our coming NW album and when it will be released etc, I have some news for you;=) The plans are rough and it might be changed but as for now:

- Tuomas has 9 songs ready already;=)

- We all will meet this summer for rehearsals and arranging the songs and getting a demo ready.

- We enter the studio next fall and the album will be released EARLIEST in the fall 2011.

So, great news and we are all excited!

Rudolf Schenker: Jason! How are you?

The Gauntlet: Doing great. Where are you right now?

Rudolf: I am in Germany, at the studio and putting the last bits and pieces mastering wise on the album "Sting in the Tail."

The Gauntlet: How is the album coming along?

Rudolf: Fantastic. After listening to the whole thing in one piece, this album is the essence of the 80's for us with a twist. It is like the best songs from the 80's. We made the decision to have two producers [Mikael Andersson and Martin Hansen] in Sweden to work in my studio in Hanover Germany and also in Stockholm. I will tell you one important thing was, one of the producers was a great guitar player and the other a great engineer. One of the producer's went through our entire back catalog and said he would kick my ass to get the same guitar riffs and playing. He also wanted to get the same out of Klaus with his melodies. It was a lot of fun and inspiration to work with the guys. The album speaks for itself.

David Priest of OnTrackMagazine.com recently conducted an interview with vocalist Simone Simons of the Dutch symphonic metal band EPICA. The chat, during which Simone reveals that she is planning on working on material for a solo album, can now be streamed using the audio player below.

Keyboardist Coen Janssen was forced to sit out EPICA's current North American headlining tour because of "personal reasons." He was replaced by Simone's boyfriend Oliver Palotai (KAMELOT, SONS OF SEASONS, DORO).

EPICA's latest album, "Design Your Universe", landed at position No. 12 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"Design Your Universe" was released in Europe on October 16, 2009. The follow-up to 2007's "The Divine Conspiracy" was recorded at Gate Studio in Wolfsburg, Germany with producer Sascha Paeth.

NIGHTWISH singer Anette Olzon and Swedish hard rockers MUSTASCH will join forces for a special performance tonight (Tuesday, January 19) during the "P3 Guld" (Swedish radio's annual music awards) live awards ceremony broadcast from the Scandinavium Arena in Gothenburg, Sweden. According to MUSTASCH, fans can look forward to seeing the band Olzon perform "in a way you never heard us before." The event will be aired live on both Swedish national TV and radio.

Love and death are clichés that only living can bring to life. During the last year Tarja Turunen has been living on the verge of emotions. The experiences can be heard on Nightwish's new album, the interpretation of which has boiling and healing powers.

Miskolc International Opera Festival гордо представляет Тарью Турунен с концертом „Classic and Divine” на Opera-Rock Show  2010. Концерт финского сопрано (кого назвала "голосом Финляндии" финский президент Тарья Халонен) пройдет в 21:00, 12-го июня 2010 (в субботу), в Miskolc Ice Hall (Венгрия).

Специальный сетлист почти двухчасовой программы будет составлеен Тарьей для этого шоу, включая выбор ее наиболее любимых песен с My Winter Storm, жемчужин классики, непредсказуемых рок каверов, песен периода ее карьеры в финской группе Nightwish и песен с ее нового альбома  What Lies Beneath. Все это будет сопровождаться ее собственной группой, симфоническим оркестром и хором.

Те, кто был на двух предыдущих Opera-Rock Shows  в 2007 и 2008 или видел два концертных альбома, выпущенные из них, знают, что мы снова можем ожидать действительно грандиозный и уникальный концерт в Miskolc в 2010.

I have never been in a Rammstein concert, even though I would love to. I don't see Rammstein performing my songs nor me singing their songs, but a collaboration for a special project doing music together would be wonderful.
