What will Tarja play at Opera-Rock Show?

In recent days we received the proposed setlist of the Classic and Divine show from the management of Tarja and we have also received the first orchestral scores as well. While the setlist is a secret of course, we cannot stand to share some pieces of information with Tarja fans all around the world.
Maybe it is not an exaggeration to write that Tarja will perform an amazing, really memorable musical program on the stage of Miskolc Ice Hall. The selected songs cover career of Tarja so far, and it seems to us that she really wants to please the fans. This applies not only her own songs, but also the rock covers, we are sure that they will cause huge surprises for everyone. In the classical pieces Tarja will show her other side, that she can sing beautiful and difficult arias effortlessly. We are quite positive that everyone will regret missing the show.
At the same time we would like to draw attention to the fact that the reduced priced tickets can be purchased only for 3 weeks, until the 1st of April at the website of Ticket Express, here. It is worth hurrying up, because tickets sales are exceeding our expectations and there is a real possibility that the show will be sold out before the concert day.

Возможно это не будет преувеличением написать, что Тарья предоставит удивительную, действительно незабываемую музыкальную программу на сцене в Miskolc Ice Hall. Отобранные песни охватывают всю карьеру Тарьи до настоящего времени, и кажется, что она действительно хочет порадовать поклонников. Это касается не только её собственных песен, но также и рок-каверов, мы уверены, что они станут огромной неожиданностью для всех. В классических произведениях Тарья раскроет свою другую сторону, что она может с лёгкостью спеть красивые и трудные арии. Мы полностью уверенны, что все кто пропустит это шоу, будут очень сожалеть.
В то же время мы бы хотели привлечь ваше внимание к факту, что билеты по сниженным ценам могут быть куплены только в течение 3-ёх недель, до 1-го апреля на вебсайте Ticket Express, тут. I arrived to LA few days ago. It’s a wonderful spring here and the sun is shining. It was tough in the dark Finland in the last weeks, so I was already starting to miss the sea and the sun. The least I am going to miss is the snow work…
This trip is not a holiday trip though. I am working with Jim, Slamm and Bart at Remote Control Studios again. We are getting the orchestra arrangements ready and we are starting to discuss the mixing process with Slamm. He is going to be the one to mix all the orchestral tracks. Other mixing engineers will mix the rock/heavy tracks, but I’ll tell you more about that later

[показать]- So Tarja tell me, what are you busy with these days?
- Oh, I am here in the middle of nowhere recording my new album, so I am very busy with that.
- Are you still in Finland?
- Yes, I am in Finland, in the Petrax Studio in Hollola, that is a small-small town in the Southern part of Finland. It is far from everything, it is really in the middle of nowhere (laughs), but it is a very relaxing place for all the work.
-And how is the recording process going, what has been done so far?
- We have been recording already drums, bass, guitars, partially keyboards, partially cello parts, partially even my vocals, so it is getting together very-very fast. We are doing fine, only a few elements are missing, so the remaining vocals and the orcestra and choir parts need to be recorded. Basically that is all.

I have held a little secret for you all for some time now, but today I feel I want to share it with you all. As you all know, I am very private and dont want to share to much about my personal life, but due to some speculations and since I am so happy I have decided to tell my secret:
Last autumn in the middle of my demo recordings of my solo album, I started to feel very, very tired and also nauseated. I took a pregnancy test and guess if me and my bf was really surprised to see that I had gotten pregnant. Since I had decided to not have any more children than my son, it was totally not planned, but after the very first shock, it felt really, really good;=)
Now I have almost done half the pregnancy and I am feeling extremely good, but its due to this I decided to not do the solo this year. I am sure you all can understand this decision better now and I do promise to release the songs at another time;=)

I am happy to tell you that I have been very busy recording vocals in the last days.
Six songs are now ready with trillions of backing vocals and Tarja choirs.

Saksalaisyhtye Scorpionsin maaliskuussa ilmestyvä Sting In The Tail -levy jää yhtyeen viimeiseksi. Levyllä kuullaan myös entistä Nightwish-solisti Tarja Turusta.
Vuonna 1965 perustettu Scorpions on keikkaillut vuosien aikana Suomessa useita kertoja. Yhtyeen arvellaan saapuvan Suomeen jäähyväiskiertueellaan syksyllä tai viimeistään alkuvuonna 2011.
Scorpions-laulaja Klaus Meine ylistää Suomea Ilta-Sanomien haastattelussa.
- Suomeen on aina kiva tulla, koska maa rokkaa paremmin kuin mikään muu Skandinavian maista, Meine sanoo.
Muun muassa Wind Of Change -jättihitistään tunnettu Scorpions halusi Tarja Turusen vierailemaan viimeiselle levylleen. Klaus Meine kuvailee lehdessä Turusta miellyttävin sanoin.
- Hän on uskomattoman kaunis nainen ja hieno artisti, jolla on upea ääni.
Scorpionsit tutustuivat Tarjaan vuosia sitten hänen ollessaan vielä Nightwishissa.
Scorpions “The Good Die Young”
German hard rock veterans Scorpions will release their final studio album, "Sting In The Tail", on March 19th. The CD was recorded at a studio in Hanover, Germany with Swedish producers Mikael "Nord" Andersson and Martin Hansen.
The album will include a guest appearance of Tarja in the song “The Good Die Young” that has been also chosen for the first single from the album and will be available starting February 26th.
After the release of the album and a three-year mammoth tour, which will take the Scorpions across five continents, the band will end its career. The group broke the news on its web site last month.
“It is such an honor to be invited to take part in the Scorpions last album. I received a phone call from Klaus that was very kind to extend the band’s wishes to have me performing one of their songs. I was not aware it was going to be their last recordings until they announce it, so I have mixed feeling of happiness and bit of sadness too when I got the news. I can only thank them for the invitation and for letting me be a part of their last effort as a band. I am sure they will keep this particular album in their hearts the same way the fans and I will do”

Piano Recording Session

I recorded my first ever piano tracks for “U” and “TAOLD”! The grand piano in the studio is Bechstein which sound I truly love. Bechstein is very moody piano in general. I have the same brand at home as well. In these songs you will easily “recognise” me playing the piano parts, instead of a professional pianist.
So if I don’t consider myself as a piano player, you shouldn’t do that either [показать]
The feeling in these songs is the most important matter and I think I captured it. It has been really nice experience for me to work with our engineer Jetro who has been so supportive and a great help in my “troubles”. He has good ears and is very, very fast and talented.
Still feels awkward to be playing an instrument (rather than my voice) in songs where Mike Terrana, Doug Wimbish, Will Calhoun, Alex Scholpp, Christian Kretschmar and Marzi Nyman are displaying their talents.
