Keiko Higuchi
A voice performer, who also works as a photographer, dancer, writer, translator, and voice teacher.

2007 --starting her solo piano/ singing performance in january.
“3 solos+” she produced the event where only singer/song writers gathered.

--Performance with the dancer, Keiko Nakano for the contemporary dance 
exhibition 2005 in July.
--Performed with Tristan Honsinger at Super Deluxe in Tokyo, September 
4th.
2004--Performances with other improvisers.
--In October she release “Love Hotel 105” and “Love Hotel 608” from 
guillemets. Now she works on other project on movie, photography and 
performance under this Love Hotel theme. 
--In December participated in a performance “INTEGRATION” at Ohya 
Shiryokan with Crystal Troupe.
2003-- “Enduring Freedom” with Imre Thormann went on the “Japan Now 
Festival” Europe tour (Switzerland, Germany and Poland). Received 
some grants from Swiss government and some others.
2002 --“Enduring Freedom” performance with Imre Thormann and the cellist 
MorishigeYasumune at die pratze in Azabu, Tokyo in April. The same
performance took place in Nagano in May.
2001 --Participated in a festival in Maebashi in November. 
2000 --“cons/ pros=” solo performance under the name of cleo.k at gallery le deco in Shibuya, Tokyo. 
-- Her writing and photos were on the magazine “Wild Girls Lullaby”.
1999 --Performed with dancers and musicians in Seattle, Boston and NewYork 
City, in the U.S.
1998 -- In December, solo performance at “Impulsive Perspective”.
-- “Burnt Soil” a performance with Imre Thormann (she performed as a 
dancer) at Jean-Jean in Shibuya, Tokyo in September and October. A 
part of the Alien Butoh Festival. Performed in Bern, Switzerland.
-- started her solo performances.
1997 Self-portrait photography “Angel” received the best prize from Impact 
Gallery in Buffalo, New York.
1996-97 Started voice performances around the east coast of the U.S. Mainly 
performed with the group, Saturnalia, and other musicians and 
improvisers, John Voigt (double bass), Greg Kelley (trumpet), Jonathan 
LaMaster (guitar, flute, violin), Sabir Marteen (sax), Tatsuya Nakatani 
(drums).
Studies
2003-present Studying Koto, the Japanese traditional string instrument, with Sanae Ishii.
1998-2000 Studied the Japanese traditional dance with Fujima Hakuji.
1997-1995 Studied music theory with Ken Sakurai.
1996-1995 Studied jazz vocals and classical composition at Berklee College of Music 
1995-1991 Studied rock and jazz singing with Susan Carr.
Since 1999 she started giving voice and body training on actors, singers and models, and after the year of 2004, she became a freelance teacher. From the same year, she also started giving workshops for Crystal Troupe, a group of mentally and physically handicapped people to explore expressions.
Imre Thormann
Born in Bern 1966. Studies different martial arts, like Aikido, Kung fu, Tai Chi and Taekwon Do after an unsuccessful punk band career. After completing his education in the F.M. Alexander technique in 1990, he makes Tokyo his permanent residence where he takes lessons from Butoh co-founder Kazuo Ohno, and from Michizou Noguchi. 
Since 1993 he has put on several Butoh solo performances in Europe as well as in Japan. Additionally, he performs at several Butoh festivals. In 2001 he initiates the first Japan Now Festival in Bern (Switzerland) and Gdansk (Poland) together with Shigeo Makabe. In 2002 he opens his own Butoh School in Tokyo, which he names “Bodygarage”. 
After 13 years of living in Tokyo, he is now living, dancing and teaching in
