Two groups of Penguins practicing this morning. Group 1 practiced just wrapped up with a little 3-on-3 pickup between Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis and Letang-Malkin-Neal.

The Edmonton Oilers announced Sunday morning that Sam Gagner will be out indefinitely after suffering a broken jaw in preseason play against Vancouver on Saturday night. Gagner suffered the injury on a high stick from Canucks’ forward Zack Kassian.

Losing a second-line centre for a long stretch is a blow to any team, but it’s especially bad for the Oilers because the pivot position was already one of the team’s weakest spots. Top centre Ryan Nugent-Hopkins underwent should surgery during the off-season, and despite some indications he may be ready earlier the team has not updated his expected return date of November 1. Boyd Gordon, the team’s third-line centre, is an established NHL veteran but there were already concerns that the candidates for the fourth line job – generally perceived to be Will Acton, Anton Lander and Mark Arcobello – were better-suited to the role of first call-up than they were to the NHL opening night lineup.

Buffalo Sabres vs Toronto Maple Leafs Brawl Sep 22, 2013

David Clarkson will have to wait to make his regular season Toronto Maple Leafs debut.Clarkson was assessed a 10-minute penalty for leaving the bench to join an altercation in the third period of the Leafs' Sunday night preseason game against the Buffalo Sabres.The penalty carries with it an automatic 10-game suspension.

A brawl erupted between the two teams when Sabres forward John Scott dropped his gloves and went after Leafs forward Phil Kessel. That fight came just seconds after a fight between Leafs forward Jamie Devane and the Sabres' Corey Tropp.
Kessel would not drop his gloves to fight Scott, but instead swung his stick twice at Scott. His actions resulted in both slashing and fighting penalties. Scott was given five- and 10-minute misconducts as well as a game misconduct. In total, the incident amounted in over 100 penalty minutes being assessed, including five-minute fighting majors to goaltenders Ryan Miller and Jonathan Bernier.

Но сразу возникают вопросы: если играет Скотт, то почему у Торонто нет Орра или Макларена? И почему в смену Кэссела под Скотта выпускают, они же вроде хозяева, и правом последней смены обладают?
Кэссела "терпеть ненавижу", но за такие вещи должен будет ответить Ванек или кто-то еще из этого говнища буффальского играть умеющий...
А вообще дивижн веселенький должен получиться в этом сезоне...

На основном борде уже вторую часть добивают по поводу Торонто и Баффало... Даже на бостонском отдельную тему замутили...
Во народ по хоккею-то соскучился...
