The cup is not half empty as pescimists say
As far as he's sees nothings left in the cup
A whole cup full of nothing for him to induldge
Since the voice of ambition has long since been shut up

A singer, a writer, he's not dreaming now of going nowhere
He gave heed to nothing, and all that he was....
Is just a tragedy

So he voyages in circles
Succeeds getting nowhere
And submits to the substance
That first got him there

Than in violent, frustration he cries out to God or just no one
Is there a point to this madness and all that he was....

He feels alone
His heart in his hand
He's alone

Группа The Used образовалась в конце 90-х в Юте. Ребята играют весьма популярную сейчас музыку - emo. Одноименная пластинка писалась в двух студиях - в родной в Лос-Анджелесе и в легендарной Olympic Studios. В качестве продюсера выступил Josh Feldman. Я соглашусь со словами многих критиков: “сумасшедшие ритмы, затрагивающие мелодии, откровенная лирика, динамичный вокал, и потрясающе-агрессивная гитара! Каждая нота, каждый крик, каждый прыжок - это искусство, нет ничего лишнего! "A Box Full Of Sharp Objects" и "On My Own" - разбивающие сердце баллады. Ну а "The Taste Of Ink" - это история группы. Нельзя выделить какие-то отдельно интересные песни, все песни замечательны и каждая по-своему. Это же emoциональная музыка и каждый трек должен содержать хоть какие-то эмоции, но у The Used их достаточно. Видели бы вы их на сцене: ребята полностью выкладываются, много сломанных инструментов остается после их выступления. Это творение (!) безусловно понравится поклонникам Thursday, Jimmy Eat World и At The Drive-In.
