Seriously, the "Reject them before they reject me" tip works out just fine, thank you. And just so you know, I have been taken advantage of. And don't tell me you haven't, unless you're under 3 years of age.

Got another order from them. They paid really quickly for the first one, I lucked out to get it in the end of the month.

I don't mind pirates being cut off. Do so by all means. But I do mind my privacy being invaded. It gives me the creeps similar to what I got reading Zamyatin and Orwell.

Today was all about clothes.
Taking A's old clothes to Oxana in the morning.
Going to Alyona & Katya's to get Sonya's old clothes for little Alyona, and ending up snagging some of Katya's stuff for myself.

I'm a hideous dresser. Hopeless. I normally look like some sort of makeover TV show reject. So I rely on what my mother, cousin and friends tell me to wear. Whatever you see on me, chances are, was picked by my mom, cousin or daughter.

Сегодня пришла посылка из Лондона. Наташа отправила 19 декабря, да, видимо, попала моя сумочка в новогодний почтовый запор. Больше месяца шла. Ну, хотя бы целая дошла, и на том спасибо. Носите картошку в тряпичных сумках, не загрязняйте планету одноразовыми пластиковыми пакетами.

Как вы думаете, ЖЖ попадает под цензуру?
Будут ли эти законодательные акты действительно эффективны в борьбе с воровством интеллектуально собственности?

Weeks ago I applied to TranExpress.
Tonight got a call from their manager. A diploma, Ru>En, overnight. OK. You don't say no to work when you got mouths to feed, right? Especially such a big one as mine.
An hour later. Nothing in the inbox. So I call back. A girl picks up, says the manager is currently unavailable. I reckon, he's obviously busy and will email later. Two hours. Nothing. It's nearing 8pm. I call back again. No answer. Neither on the mobile, nor on the landline.
Where is my email? Neither in the inbox, neither in the spam folder, nor even in my alternative inboxes.
Why didn't they call back after no confirmation from me?

Apparently, you can't always rely on modern communications.

Познакомились мы через смс. Не помню уже, на каком сайте я нашла информацию и самопальном диске, записанном при участии Сергея Бабкина и Сергея Савенко. Там был контактный телефон, и я написала смс, что хочу добыть себе такой диск. В ответ получила (не дословно): "Зина, я много о тебе наслышан, конечно, передадим!" - каково же было мое удивление и все в таком духе.
Как потом оказалось, это и был Миша. А слышал он обо мне от Сергея Савенко, который незадолго до этого приезжал в Питер на концерт с "Пасхальным шествием". Ну, а у же моск совсем отключается при одном упоминании этой группы: сразу начинаю фанатеть "по-бешанаму" :-)

И Миша стал стимулом завести мой первый блог. ЖЖ тогда еще были по приглашениям, я выпросила у Жеки Скруджа.

Какой же это был год? Надо в ЖЖ посмотреть. Лет 10 назад, однако. Они тогда еще у ХУИ учились.

Happened yesterday. Now, it's supposed to make you double up with pain whenever you move, but not me. I had to walk as straight as an arrow, like I swallowed a ramrod. Sitting down at the computer was much less painful, though. So I figured, it was nature's way of telling me to work longer hours. Today, however, it hurts more to sit. Is it nature's way of telling me to get more work done about the house?

As you must have noticed, I'm still here. Just lurking. About time I unlurk (if that's even a word, but you get the point).
Nothing's much is up with me.
The kid's four. Little angel/brat depending on what mood she's in.
Work's let up massively. Which is a sort of a relief, considering I"m single-handedly parenting a kid who won't stay well for longer than a few days. Still, feel free to contact me if you need anything.

Все-таки не верю я в совпадения. Вот недавно стала задумываться о машине, правах и проч. И сразу выяснилось, что несколько знакомых тоже покупают или недавно купили. Машины, не права. И тут же написовался перевод по теме. Добавила в закладки автозапчасти для Фольксваген. Можно автозапчасти купить, а можно и глоссарий для перевода подобрать.
Вселенная все зрит.
