HDive – this is the guildhall, where hdivers gather and which can be found on the map in the neighbourhood of Moscow. Hdivers are not magicians, although their abilities far exceed any human understanding. If something significant or inexplicable happens somewhere in the world, it means the matter is not managed without hdivers. Hdivers are not by birth. No supernatural talent or affinity with magicians is necessary. The golden bees choose hdivers and the only beehive is in HDive.

“Why ШНыр (ShNyr) is translated as HDive
As pointed out by some reader, Ш (Sh) = школа (school) and Ныр = dive. However, the establishment dealt with here is not strictly a school as commonly understood. It is more an apprenticeship, or, to borrow a term popular among fantasy writers – a guild. (Ann McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern immediately springs to mind.) And each guild usually has a guildhall. The word шныр (shnyr) is also from the verb шнырять (shnyryat') – to snoop, alluding to the secretive nature of the organization. Such a play on word would be lost in a literal translation.
After months of deliberation, Dmitrii and I decided to drop literal translation of Russian made-up words but come up with a completely new set in English. Instead of a school, we have a guild of Divers based in a guildHall, hence HDive. This is also where the Hive of the golden bees is located, the bees being responsible for recruiting Divers. Thus, ШНыр (ShNyr) becomes HDive.
The same goes for нерпь (nerp') – the leather vambrace with cast figures. We change it to the acronym clms – centaur, lion, mermaid, sirin – the four cast figures. It is pronounced "clams", implying that it embraces the arm like a ‘clam shell’ would.”
