Interesting work? Is it possible? 21-09-2006 06:59 к комментариям - к полной версии - понравилось!

I know that there are some small ammount of people, who do what thay like most of all in the world end they are paid for this. My husband is one of them.
I wish I was... I'm not. I dont know to what activity I can dedicate my life. Now I'm inclined to think that it will be growing up my children. But I don't have them yet. So I can't prove it. And I'm surely won't be paid for it. When I was a schoolgirl, I thought that my mission is langueges. I finished the univercity at FLD to understand that it is not.
Now I'm thinking about my sister, who is at the parting of the ways. She is to make a decision (9th form) where to go study and what to do in the life. She is too young to deside, but no one has right to make the choice ang to choose between well-paid job or interesting one. The funniest thing is that she doesn't know what is interesting for her.
How did you do the choise?
Did it approve?

i have also choosed the foreign languages, only because I have been studying them since the second form. And now i am too close for my final exams at the University and the closer i am the better i understand that all this was in vain :) and i also want to have interesting well-paid job but teachers are not well-paid at all! though it seems to me, that i am interested at working with children! :)

as for me, it's just the same.
I studied English since the 2-nd form.
So, when I finished school I was
ABSOLUTELY sure that my job will be
connected with foreign languages. And
I entered the FLD.
And at the end of the university I understood that I was taught to be a teacher.
I even worked at school for 3 years.
I liked to work with kids, but that job is not well payed.
Now I'm sales representative, I like my job, I'm payed for it.....BUT
I understand that I can work here when
I'm young ( it means 10-15 years).
And I don't know what to do afterwards.
I finished FLD three years ago and now I'm working as an business-analyst. Now I feel the lack of education 'cause I need economic degree to continue making my career.
A huge ammount of examples of such kind.

I don't think I will say smth new... I'm at my last course at MSLU (Moscow state linguistic university) and I don't want to work as a teacher in the future.
But I've always wanted to work with documents and with people. Now I'm a secretary but my job is quite low-paid at the moment... At that I won't work as a secretary for all my life. As least I hope I wont.
Maybe my next step will be an office-manager, who knows...
Now I want to graduate. That's all I want now.

Веселинка_Малопопка, amount (there's no double M).
Well, I didn't begin to study English in 2nd form. It was the 5th form and also there was some study group in the 1st form.
And I lacked English, and now I see that I could know more than I know at the moment.
But I left the University at one moment and began to study languages. Moreover, I want to connect my life with them.
Maybe, when you study English all your life it becomes boring at the end? So some people need to absorb themselves into another speciality?

When you work as an interpreter for 8 hours 5 days in a week, you vomit your brains out. Especially, if the theme is connected with something you know nothing about (chamistry, oil-extracting, economics).
I worked, I know.
