It's the 13th today. Not a Friday, unfortunately - in my case ;)
Are you superstitious?
Why do so many people believe in black cats crossing roads? In four-leaf clover? And all that stuff? Doesn't it prove that superstitions are quite reliable? Do different peoples (nations) have different superstitions?
And if not superstitions themselves, do you believe in evel eye? Or when you speak your dreams, they wont'come true? That by speaking them, you'll jinx them?
And let's dwell on it - What are your fears in general? What are you afraid of?

I don't believe about black cats... because my cat is black, and more times black cats acrossed roads but everything was OK!
I don't like to return. Also don't believe, that black cats bring misfortune.
well time passed by and I came to understand that superstitions are nothing. It's we who make them come true. I mean our power. What kind of power, you'll ask? I dunno.
But still I knock at the wood when I don't wanna smth to happen or I spit across the left shoulder (at the devil, they say).
Still, some superstitions have a long history, some background.

I agree that it is our power which makes all things in the world be against us. And I believe in black cats, despite that fact that I have one)

Well........ superstitious? I leaved my job on 13th of June))))))))) And won in an interesting game when my namber was 13......)))))))))

I usually knock the wood, and when I need to return for smth forgotten (which is considered a bad thing to do) I usually smile to the mirror. Friday 13 is none worse than any other day. Generally I think everything depends on your attitude.
Nad_Gamgee, my husband believes in this sign. He doesn't like even to return home. So usually it's me who has to go home and look at the mirror)
