this is a very interesting insight, a very established position! it really shows in two frames the evolution of oneself/yourself, whatever it takes.
i would kill the frame though, in both pieces — undoubtfully in the second, if and only if it is not vitally essential for this image, contributing something unique that could not be achieved by other means.
Thanks a lot for your advices Ikar...
I agree with your idea about frames with colour pics...I was afraid the pic would be too sad "alone"..but the blue is to strong : I have to admit it :0(
But for the black & white pics i feel the frames differently....for me they add a little ...but I will think about the size of the frame ...Will think about that...
But Merci again for your comments .
nathsolnyshko, the thing is, the frame must ultimatively serve the picture, otherwise it steals the attention, so you might consider balancing between the loneliness of the image and the idea in whole. in the BW photo the frame has a place, no doubt, but maybe it should be distingwished from the picture somehow, of course in case you didn't want it to be like that in purpose. and IMHO, the frames could be placed side by side and not on a vertical, no matter it's a blog and not a pavillion. i guess you know about juxtaposition, when 1+1 does not equal 2. these two frames succeed to create this situation, when reading between the lines is not less important than reading the "lines" themselves.
i have access to some really important articles about the theory of photography, Barthes, Burgin and a few others. they are in PDF format and i can send them to you via email if you want, just give me the address in personal message. caution, they might change your perception, so think twice before reading :)
