I've just looked at all the pics. I've been to Paris more than 10 years ago. It hasn't changed much :) I loved it. Looking at the pics now, I thought it reminded me of New York.. Certain parts of it, I mean, not all. Some parks and older streets... And the vibe... I loved the picture with the Asian bride close-up with people around her. I think it's one of the best! She looked so fragile!

Oh, Lena!! Thank you very much!! I was disheartened by all the graffiti on the buildings and some trains, but overall it was a nice trip! I was not sure if the bride there on Montmartre was Japanese or Chinese, and then I found the other bride being photographed at the Arch! Yes, the first one had a full crew with her, hairdresser, dresser, photographer... lol And it was good for me to get out of the house for awhile. It forced me into some brain activity - new scenes, new terrain, etc... I had been to Paris before, 41 years ago, but it was my first time in Provence! Delightful!! Thank YOU for giving me your impressions and thoughts!!

Fred_in_Westland, I like your photos, they are all photo-journalistic style, they capture the feel of the places. I don't like when people take only photos of the famous sites and a lot of pics of themselves in front of them. I like to see everything that's going on around those sites - the life, the people, the little details, such as pigeons or flowers etc - everything that completes the atmosphere.

Thanks again!! I agree. It was my aim to get the unusual shot, but when I finally got to it I found it was not as easy as I had immagined to get that kind of photo. So I fell back to the tried and true. Perhaps my next trip I will be more awake to the possibilities. There were a few this time, the girl balancing on the rail for example, the street performers, etc... Like most things it takes practice and patience. I hope I am never too old to learn!! :)))
