A new band allegedly formed by `on hiatus` KoRn drummer David Silveria has been confirmed as false, KoRn's management has stated.

Reports surfaced online this week claiming that Silveria - who has been on a break from the band since December 2006 - had set up a new band, called Satellite Syndrome.

The band's `official` MySpace® webpage claimed that Silveria hand picked the band members, those of whom were `top talent` in the Huntington Beach, California area.

`Satellite Syndrome is a brand new project featuring former KoRn drummer David Silveria, along with some of the top musicians in the Huntington Beach area, hand picked by Silveria himself,` the MySpace® statement read. `The group officially formed in May 2008, and are currently in the studio recording their first ever songs together.

`Satellite Syndrome's full length debut album should be available early next year through a major record label.`

According to officials on KoRn's official online message boards, KoRn frontman Jonathan Davis along with the band's managment, Firm Music, have completely thrown out all allegations that Silveria has left KoRn
