Yesterday I have seen the film one more time. One of the most shocking stories I'v ever watched in my life.... The name of the film is the title for my note today. Happy end, of course. For the film, but not for those who are still within the system - ukrainian girls locked in German and American bordels or Phillipinian children who will never grow up..... Thank you God that 10 years ago when I told my friend that I want to go to Marocco to work as a waitress she just invited me home and showed me vidios of La Strada organization - helping those who has been trafficked. So that was it. Human trafficking From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia • Learn more about using Wikipedia for research •Jump to: navigation, search Human trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, harbouring, or receipt of people for the purpose of exploitation. It is estimated to be a $5 to $9 billion-a-year industry.[1]The Council Of Europe states "People trafficking has reached epidemic proportions over the past decade, with a global annual market of about $42.5 billion".[2][3] Trafficking victims typically are recruited using coercion, deception, fraud, the abuse of power, or outright abduction. Threats, violence, and economic leverage can often make a victim consent to exploitation. Exploitation includes forcing people into prostitution or other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labour or services, slavery or practices similar to slavery, servitude or the removal of organs. For children, exploitation may also include forced prostitution, illicit international adoption, trafficking for early marriage, or recruitment as child soldiers, beggars, for sports (such as child camel jockeys or football players), or for religious cults.[4]
