Дочитала Гамильтон и удивилась –оконцовка первый раз за 11 книжек оказалась не кровавой и не напряженной – не пришлось баловаться ново-пасситиком :-) В общем, книжка супер, как это всегда бывает у Гамильтон. Только вот mother of all the dead Гамильтон явно позаимствовала у Энн Райс – срисовала с Акаши.
Кое-что забавное из Гамильтон:

Sometimes Nathaniel made me think about sex, but sometimes, like now, it was just comfort. Just closeness. You can’t have that with most people, because they are busy thinking about sex. I think that’s why dogs are so damn popular.

Once you get me angry I usually stay there. I enjoy my anger, that’s the only hobby I have.

И моя любимая фраза, очень она сейчас для меня актуальна:
I’m learning that you have to make time for what’s important. You have to fight to carve little peaces of happiness out of your life, or the everyday emergences will ea up everything.
Днем сходила с друзьями пивка попить и поняла, насколько нездорова моя серьезность – чего-то я заморочилась со своей учебой и работой, надо перестать так париться.
