it depends, my bf got the video one, i still have the 20 giga one for almost 2 years now( 4th generation) and honestly i have no need in more. i wish i had a nano one, they are adorable plus i don't need a lot, i don't know about u though ;))

where do you shop for music?
As far as iPods, I have 3: one is the original photo iPod, then a black video iPod with 80G, and a pink mini.... I belive you should have 2: mini and video, cuz they can't replace each other... But if you had to pick one, decide where you'd use it most and what for and plan accordingly.

well I have already two mp3 players- one is old Rio Sport- which is basicly my workout partner ( I can swim with it AND not be afraid to drop it on the floor working out) and I have my SONY mpeg4 which my mom gave me- and it is supposed to let me not only show videos but also TAKE pictures and record videos, along with playing music, but I can not find a right power converter for this one to make it work here ( it is from Sweden)
...so... I dunno...
I just want Ipod, don't even know why..LOL>..
