Matthew 25:13-30; Luke 19:11-28). God said one more parable against our laziness and negligence. God gives each one of us the talents, as a certain nobleman who was leaving for a long time, gave his servants as follows: to one five talents, to another two talents, to the third - one talent, and ordered everybody to get for them as much as he can.
When he returned, he asked each one to report, who did what and how much. The the first one come and said: "Master, you gave given me five talents, - here are other five that I received for them". The one that received two, brought two more that he received for them. To both of them the nobleman said: "you are good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many. Enter into the joy of your lord".
Then approached the one who received one talent, because of his laziness he did not obtain anything for it, and, trying to justify himself he said: "Master, I knew, you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering, where you has not scattered seed. Because of this I went and buried your talent in the ground. Here is yours". The nobleman was angered and told him: "you are wicked and lazy servant! You knew time, that I reap where I did not sow, and I collect, where I did not scatter, you were supposed to give my silver to traders so that I would receive a profit. Give his talent to the one with 10 talents and punish this one".
And after saying this parable, the Lord said: "those who have ears - let them hear".
