On Rosh Hashanah, The Holy One sit upon the Throne of Judgment, surrounded by angels and you stand before the Heavenly Court. The angels open the Book of Life on the page that have your name inscribed on it. It is filled with all you have done during the past year. Not even the smallest deed is overlooked. All of your good deeds are written in black ink on the Credit side of the page and all of your bad deeds are written in red ink on the Debit side of the page. The trial takes place to decide whether you would be inscribed for a year of blessing. During this Day of Judgment three books are opened. One is filled with the names of the completely righteous. Another is filled with the names of the completely wicked. The other is filled with the names of those who are neither entirely good nor entirely bad.
