About a month ago I've tried horseback riding...for the first time in my life. :) I mean, of course it wasn't a galloping ride or anything of that kind. But for me, who couldn't even get ON that horse without help, it was quite a journey...lol. It's amazing how these animals are attuned to your every move, even the slightest; and if you aren't careful enough, you might get yourself in some big trouble. But let me tell you - it's an amazing experience, even empowering in some way. ;)

It used to be my childhood dream :) Never got to do it though, because of my overprotective mother :) Doesn't attract me as much anymore. But horses are cute :)

Fred_in_Westland, the job is good. But getting slower though (just like anywhere else)...due to economy. Hey, at least I have a job, and am grateful for that. Otherwise everything is great! How about you? Did you get enough snow yet? :)

self-made, yes, the horses do amaze me...they are so graceful, so mysterious. But i never really had any desire to try horseback riding. I was just at the right spot, at the right time; the kids were doing it, so I thought "Why couldn't I do that as well?" LOL. It was fun. I'm not going to pursue it, but if I get another chance to get on a horset, believe me, I'll jump on it. :)

I tried camel riding in Sahara, Tunisia. Of course, it's different but at least I felt what it was like to have a living creature under my body - it was amazing! But I felt it only after I've been riding a camel for about an hour. So now I'm up to horseback riding :)

Loclier, wow, a camel sounds quite exotic. :) You are right, it is an interesting feeling riding an animal, you have to be so attuned to its movements.
