Simona, In the past to year in August I went on the native land (where I was born) to Kazakhstan. In city Almaty. There passes a mountain ridge Tien Shan. There are fine glaciers and peaks and through this ridge it is possible to pass to high-mountainous lake Issyk Kul

It's beautiful. Was the route you took a particularly difficult one ( as in did you need climbing ecquipment or just standard hiking stuff)?

Sadly, there are few places in Europe where one can go hiking without bloody tourists everywhere ... and I've been through all of them. Maybe I should put Kazakhstan on my list of places to go.
