Каменецкая Елена Владимировна, yup that's my name. I was born on March 6th, 1987 at 6:30 pm. I was born and raised in Ukraine, Kharkov until 1999. During those 12 years I've traveled around Europe with my parents up to the age of three. Also been to Kazakhstan lots of times up to the age of 10.
My first word I believe was "Mom". During early age I called parents by names not mom or dad. My first sentence was "it's raining" we were in Prague at that time.
My earliest memory goes back to the time when I was 3 and I was at my grand parents place, and I was playing with stuff on this table that can fold into a chair.
At age of 4 my mom was teaching me a bit of English then she stopped.
At 5 I could read and write in Russian.
At 6 I began learning piano and had my first concerts.
At age of 7 I went to Grade 1 in Ukrainian class. Also that year I've participated in 4 concerts and a school talent competition.
At age of 8 I've wrote my first poem, and was playing piano at the opening ceremony of a hospital in our area.
At age of 9 I entered Grade 3, been sick through out all of the school year so had to catch up on the material on my own. In the end I successfully passed grade 3 with only 2 4s.
At age of 10 I participated in a Kharkov's concert in this big building. Also entered a competition and placed second in the area I lived in.
At age of 11 I’ve switched to a Russian school. Made new friends, and switched music schools. Also participated in many concerts.
At age of 12 came to Canada. Got through what's called a "cultural shock", missed home and so on. However got involved in school fairly fast. Learned the language in 3 months, participated in many school concerts.
At age of 13 I was an honorary student at the school. Was helping out teachers in various grades starting at kindergarten up to grade 4.
At 14 I've once again switched schools. Now I was in high school. During that year I worked hard, participated as much as I could, and maintained the honor status.
Age 15- grade 10 became the worst year of life. That year the only accomplishment I had was passing the literacy test. Other then that my life has been down hill, with my bf attacking me and me being taken away from home.
Age of 16 wasn't too bad, had lots of excitements! I've completed the Grade 7 and 8 piano exams and received certificates for those.
Age of 17 lost a friend, lost my grandpa. But I've traveled a bit in Europe, back on the honor board in school, Placed second in the Remembrance Poetry Contest in Mississauga and first in school. I've got a loving bf. Things at home are more or less good. Mom seems to be getting better.
