Lest We Forget!

The sky turned gray,
The fields became mud.
Soldiers sacrificed their lives,
As they had fought.

They fought this war,
For better future.
They went into battles for us.
They fought till the end,
For the peace and the quiet
That now they left with us.

Rough memories of war
Had passed our generation.
And least that we could do,
Is to remember those brave souls.
And thank the worriers,
For bringing peace, live
And opportunity to reach our goals.

Lest we forget, all those who fought.
All those who sacrificed their life,
On the muddy fields, far away from home,
Knowing that they may never return.
