Transform a scalloped circle into a chrysanthemum by cutting slits between each scallop. Fold the petals in half lengthwise on two circles. Glue one on top of the other offsetting the petals. Do the same treatment on a smaller scalloped circle then glue it in the center. Place your flower in the palm of your hand and push down on center with the eraser end of a pencil for more dimension.

Apply a glue stick down the entire length of a thin strip. Spiral it down a toothpick to form a stem. (this is actually kind of fun - like a carnival ride for your fingers)

Cut the scalloped circle in half then cut between the scallop. Roll the tops over a toothpick (I know, it looks odd in this picture) Roll the edges together and glue them together to form a trumpet shape.

I made this bouquet with daisy shapes I made using the chrysanthemum technique described above on a large daisy punch and a smaller one. The leaf shape was folded in half and creased it to give it more oomph. I took thin strips and spiraled them on a toothpick to get the tendrils.

If you look closely you can see some centers on my daisies. I made then by applying glue stick glue to a quarter inch wide strip, then rolled it over a toothpick. I gently removed the toothpick and glued the roll to the middle of the flower.

I made some kind of foxglovey flowers by glueing my trumpet shapes to a stem.
For the most part, I used tacky glue. A glue stick was used to attach the label and the stems. I balanced each composition with a flying insect. These seemed to call for some kind of label. You can download and print my labels here.
I made 12 of these, framed them in identical black frames and am going to hang them in a grid over my bed. They look cool all together (hey, even individually)
Pretty sharp with an old book and a few punches, if I must say so myself.
