Северо-западное Акварельное Общество (Northwest Watercolor Society/NWWS ) было основано в Сиэтле в штате Вашингтон ( Seattle, Washington) в 1939, чтобы поддержать внимание и интерес к акварели и повышения её статуса как техники живописи.
Общество расширилось в 1992, чтобы включить участников из других штатов Америки, а также, из Канады.
