Tell us about you.
I’m 18 years-old Russian student, editor. I`m found of photography not too long, since October 2010. I have never visited any photo lessons and I`m not trying to take popular shots, that can bring me money, I just do that I really enjoy.

When was the first time you fell in love with photography? And why?
I love photography all of my life. When I was 5 I took my first shots with old film camera. It was summer 2010 when I took my first artistic photos. Now I use Nikon D90 and all my free time I spend walking with my models (especially my friends) and taking beautiful pics.

Where are you located now?
Moscow, Russia

What makes your works stand-out or different from other photographers?
I never know what photos I`ll take today. I just love to improvise. Maybe it isn`t wright, but I have so many ideas and contrast images that I can`t to catch one of them and translate it to a picture. I`m just crasy student, and I never know what I really want in this moment.

What motivates you?
I always motivate myself. My hands are always itching and boring without camera. I really need to take photos as often as it possible.

How does working professionally differ from being an amateur in your opinion?
I don’t like professional photos. They have a right light, right composition, right models, right colors, considered ideas and execution. It makes them ideal and curiously enough boring. An amateur working from the heart, he takes photos that he really found interesting.

If you could meet w/ any artist (one) past or present, whom would it be?
I would like to meet… Oh, may I not to tell his name? [показать]

Who (or what) is your biggest influence?
When I listen to my favorite music (Placebo, Lacrimosa, System of a Down, Evanescence) I have a lot of images and spontaneously in my head. Sometimes I can`t to throw away any song from my head and it partially materialized in my works.

What is your life moto?
That is done, then the better

I enjoy works from 35Photo.com and deviantart.com

Do you have a style that you relate to the most?
My style is my thoughts. They are always different, positive or negative, so I can`t to follow any certain style.

Can you offer any advice on how to build-up a portfolio / ‘getting your foot in the door’ for our readers wishing to start a career in this line of photography?
I think I have not many experience to take advices. I just want to say: please, not to try making commercial photos, if you have a talent you should not to spend it. Make this photos that you really enjoy and don`t afraid to be original.

Name 3 of your favorite (art/photography) books/ magazines.
Unfortunately I do not give preference to some specific publications. I visit a lot of online-resources and watch photos there.

Do you have anyone/company you would like to collaborate/work together?
I’ll be glad to work with any talented photographers or other creative people.

What are the photography equipment(s) do you currently own?
I have Nikon D90, nikkor 18-105, micro-nikkor 105 mm and soon I`ll buy Nikon 50 mm

Name 3 softwares (or tools) that you use the most, and tell us the function of each of them.
I use only PhotoShop CS3 for Color Correction and crop
