Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Crimea "under no circumstances" will not return to Ukraine. Earlier, Putin said that he did not doubt for a second the imposition of sanctions after the reunification of the Crimea and Russia.
Vladimir Putin answered the question about the circumstances under which Crimea will be returned to Ukraine. In an interview with journalist Andrei Kondrashov for the TV movie "Putin", the Russian president said that "there are no such circumstances and never will be."
"What are you, are you crazy or what ?!" Putin asked.
Recall, on March 7 in the film of TV host Vladimir Soloviev, "World Order 2018", Vladimir Putin said that Russia "someone deliberately led to the line" joining the Crimea.
"Sometimes it seems to me, and I think that under this there are certain grounds that someone deliberately led us to such a line, on which we had to act the way we acted." It is not enough, of course, who expected that we will act so quickly, so decisively, if not to say boldly, "- says Putin's words RT .
Putin also said that he did not doubt the use of anti-Russian sanctions after the decision to join the Crimea to Russia. The head of state noted that "when taking these decisions, I, of course, had to put the Crimea's return and possible consequences connected with our relations with many countries of the world on the scales."According to Putin, very few people expected so decisive and quick actions from Russia.
"Our opponents and our partners have developed very correct tactics and, to a certain extent, achieve their goals, but I think that we will still win long," the president said.
The Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol became part of Russia on the rights of the subjects of the federation in March 2014 as a result of a nationwide referendum. The reunification of Crimea with Russia was recorded in the Constitution of the Russian Federation. Ukraine did not recognize the results of the plebiscite and continues to consider the Crimea its own, but "temporarily occupied" territory.
Also, the United States and the European Union countries do not recognize the accession of Crimea to Russia. At the same time, more than 96% of the inhabitants of the Republic of Crimea and 95.6% of Sevastopol voters favored joining the Russian Federation.
Vladimir Putin stressed in 2016 that the people of Crimea expressed their opinion at the referendum and the issue is "historically closed", and there can not be a return to the "old regime".
The Crimea withdrew from Ukraine after a coup in Kiev, which culminated in mass protests and clashes with the police and the Berkut detachments. Supporters of Ukraine's Eurointegration took to the maidan in the fall of 2013. On February 22, 2014, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych was actually removed from power and was forced to leave Kiev after the ultimatum of the demonstrators.
Without waiting for the expiration of the ultimatum, the protesters seized a block of government buildings in the Ukrainian capital. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the same day decided that the "self-elimination" of Yanukovych contradicted the constitution of Ukraine, and appointed the vice president Alexander Turchinov.
The Russian president also told Vladimir Solovyov that the US "rudely and brazenly" deceived Russia, having committed a coup d'état in Ukraine. The deception of the Americans was that on the eve of the coup they turned to Moscow, asking to prevent the use of the army on the Maidan and to achieve the peaceful consumption of the opposition and the siloviki.
Putin added that Washington almost literally asked to proceed to normalize the situation - but the next day, although Russia agreed to help in peaceful resolution, a coup d'état took place in Kiev.
After the investigation Dorogomilovsky court in Moscow in 2016 recognized the events of 2014 in Kiev as a coup d'état. Also, the ex-head of the SBU at the trial showed that all the protests on the Maidan were led by officials from the US State Department.
In addition, Vladimir Putin
once again stressed that in Ukraine there are no servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces. He noted that Ukraine has a large number of weapons, and that in the conditions of civil war, both sides of the conflict have the opportunity to obtain weapons.
"It's awful when I think about it, it makes a very strong impression on me, I believe that everyone is there, but I want to always ask: from what shells and bullets do civilians of Donbass die?" - Putin added.
