Painter Edward Ladell. Still Life

Английский живописец самоучка Edward Ladell (1821-1886) был, вероятно, самым известным из всех художников писавших натюрморты викторианской эпохи. С 1856 он выставлял свои картины в Королевской Академии, британском институте живописи и обществе британских художников. Edward Ladell и его жена Ellen, которая, как и муж, была художником, жили достаточно скромно в Колчестере, в Эссексе, Британия. Они вместе разработали очень четкий стиль натюрморта в лучших традициях голландских картин. Натюрморты Edwardа и Ellen Ladell наполненные викторианским богатством цвета делают их мгновенно узнаваемыми и их неизменно высокое качество обеспечила огромную популярность этим творениям .
Картины хранятся в лондонской Академии художеств. Натюрморты Edwarda Ladell можно также увидеть в художественных галереях в Бристоле, Колчестер, Эксетер, Харрогит и Шеффилде. [показать]
