1. Welcome to Copenhagen ... wait ... that's the bridge to Sweden.

2. I was greeted by an Air Greenland jet upon landing. You don't see that airline everyday in Asia, or even in North America as a matter of fact.

3. The weather was not so good on my first day. After dropping my bags off at the hostel, I ventured out to
Christianshavn for a stroll. I was aiming to walk the whole thing, but in the end settled for a bit less. I shouldn't be so ambitious in my planning.

12. Peeking into some of these windows, I noticed how well-designed and stocked some of these homes are. Good design and Denmark go together, so it was expected.

14. I'm a balcony person. Balconies offer a good separation space between the home and the outside environment. I do enjoy the sea views from my balcony in Hong Kong as well.

16. I liked how these residential buildings are located at water's edge, which offers a good calming feature. Quite a nice thing to look out to water every day.

22. This is probably the main canal on Christianshavn. The colourful houses and boats, along with the changing colours now and then, give a very serene scene. The cool autumn weather was much refreshing from the tropical heat I had to bear with in Asia.

42. Subway rest stop. In the next part, I'll continue my walk on Christianshavn, with plenty more interesting houses and buildings.

1. It's nice to walk along a riverside, which gives a very good effect on the surrounding buildings. Christianshavn is a quieter escape from the city across the river, and the buildings looked quite interesting with the different colours.

8. Bike culture is very much engrained in Copenhagen. Unfortunately, these bikes met a sadder fate at the bottom of the river.

Strøget is a fairly popular pedestrianized shopping street. Without cars, it was a comfortable stroll from Kongens Nytorv to City Hall.
