SOKUTAI

[565x335]
"Sokutai" is the most formal clothing that really high ranked court officer wore. The name, "Sokutai" is originally from "Sekitai" which is like a belt with stone decoration. "Soku" means a bunch of something and "tai" means a belt that binds up some clothing. You'll see the costume that highest ranked ministers in the court wore in the Heian period.

JUNI HITOE

[565x335]
"Juni-hitoe" is the special clothing that only very high ranked women in the court, like empress, princess, wives of court officers and high ranked servants could wear. They wore it in special ceremony or when they saw someone in higher rank.
Now present Empress and Princess wear it for their wedding or accidence ceremony. One of the most important points of "Juni-hitoe" clothing is the back robe. It should look like a dignified Mt.Fuji.
Today you are watching "Juni-hitoe" and dressing method that is used for present Imperial family, not in the Heian style.

Photo Session

You can take photos as many as you want with your own camera. If you visit the studio alone or if you want to take group photos, one of our staff members will help you.

Don’t forget to charge your camera battery and check that your camera’s memory is sufficient. We usually recommend several basic poses (front. back, sitting, etc.) that have been proven to be the best way to show off your new look.
