Bellatrix Black Malfoy
1. When she smiled, a small dimple would appear on her right cheek.
But Bellatrix hadn’t smiled for 20 years.
2. Her eyes were the same shade of gray as her cousin Sirius.
After that fateful night in the department of mysteries, she never looked in the mirror again.
3. Lucius Malfoy had been rather obsessed with her at Hogwarts.
Perhaps, just perhaps, she would have been charmed by him, if his love poems for her hadn’t been word-for-word from Romeo and Juliet.
4. She convinced herself that she took muggle studies because “it was necessary to know thy enemy.”
Not because she overheard James Potter telling her traitor cousin that she was such a femme fatale, like that muggle actress Anna Karina.
5. The night Rodolphus Lestrange proposed to her was not even remotely romantic. The pair had arrived at a fine restaurant in London, where Bellatrix already had more than a hint that Lestrange was going to propose to her that night, and had tactfully pretended to not know that he had (obviously) put the ring in her wine-glass.
What she didn’t know was that he forgot to tie it to the glass.
6. She truly, honestly believed that her mother had engaged in an affair with Abaraxas Malfoy.
There was no other explanation for Narcissa’s hair.
7. She didn’t believe that she was a born murderer. The first time she killed anything was when she was twenty-two years old, and her sister Andromeda had just left the house. She vented her anger on the pregnant stray cat that her blood-traitor sister gave milk to every morning.
The rush of power she felt when she killed both frightened her and thrilled her.
8. Till her dying breath, she refused to believe that her Dark Lord could be a half-blood.
9. Azkaban hadn’t made her insane, she simply just couldn’t help being mad. And she reasoned that it ran in the family.
After all, who would name their child Nymphadora?
10. She had always wanted to wear a black dress for her wedding.
 Narcissa Black Malfoy
1. Bellatrix was named for a female warrior. Andromeda was named for a beautiful maiden. And she?
She was named for a boy so in love with his image, that he died while staring at his reflection.
2. She had always firmly refused to play purebloods and mudbloods with her sisters and cousin. While they attacked each other barbarically, she sat with the respectable adults and sipped tea like the perfect daughter she was. It could be quite boring at times.
But when Lucius Malfoy caught her eye one evening, it wasn’t so boring anymore.
3. On her seventh birthday, Andromeda gifted her with a lovely doll with blonde curls mirroring her own. Bella, however, thought it would be very humorous to steal her father’s wand and somehow turn the doll’s hair pink.
The doll’s hair could not be turned back.
She named the doll Nymphadora.
Ten years, four months, and fourteen days later, she sent the doll back to Mrs. Tonks.
4. She had secretly wanted to try out for the Slytherin Quiddich team.
5. When her kitten died, it was snowing.
When she received her first detention, it was snowing.
When Andromeda ran away, it was snowing.
And when Lucius slipped the ring onto her finger…it was snowing.
6. Draco looked just like his father.
She had never been more thankful.
7. As she hovered over Harry Potter, she did not think of what the Dark Lord would do to her and her family.
All she could think of was when Lily Evans had once lied and saved her from detention at Hogwarts.
And as she proclaimed Evans’ son dead, she gulped as the debt was lifted from her chest.
8. A small part of her wanted to laugh because Bellatrix was dead.
9. She thought that Draco’s choice was perfect for the next Malfoy bride. After all, Daphne was a pureblood, beautiful, and blond.
But she liked Scorpius’s Rose better.
10. She was the first Black in over a generation to reach the age of sixty-five.
It was quite an accomplishment.
 Draco Malfoy
1. When he is three and a half years old, and Daddy buys him his first toy broomstick…he thinks he loves his father
When he stands at the wake of the Dark Lord, being taunted at Lucius being sent to Azkaban…he thinks he hates his father.
When he holds his son in his arms…
He knows he loves his father…
2. He was honestly, awfully disappointed when Harry Potter did not want to become his friend.
3. He has always been rather proud of his name.
But he certainly does not feel like a dragon when Granger punches him in the face.
Nor when Mad-eye Moody transforms him into a ferret…
4. From time to time…he truly misses Dobby.
5. It was worse, knowing that the Dark Lord expected him to fail in killing Albus Dumbledore, than actually failing to murder him.
6. Sometimes when he looks into the mirror
…He sees Regulus Black looking back at him...
It frightens him.
7. Crabbe’s death shattered him more than he could have ever imagined.
So did Nymphadora’s.
8. For the first time in his life, he believes in love, when Astoria tells him that he can name their son Scorpius Hypernion.
9. The fourth time he weeps like a child is when his son tells him he wants a skull on his arm, because he wants to be just like Daddy.
10. Though he’s not overly pleased with Scorpius’s choice…
…All he can do is breathe a sigh of relief that it isn’t Lily Potter.
