San Marco square is the heart of Venice. The main interesting fact about this place is that maximal water livel higher then this square therefore in time of most strong tides square is flooded so special decks is used for purpose of passing square in the noon.

The Vinece in ancient times was an indipendent city-state and had own governer. He called Doge. So near the square Doges Palace was builded. It is perfectly captured to the shot from water :) and from square as well.

Another remarkable building in this place is Basilica di San Marco which was founded at 829.

Campanile is the tower in San Marco square. It builded from red bricks and has green pointed roof.

The big gate with clock. Why this is remarkable

because we have the little copy of it in Joskhar-Ola. It has a same view and clock with surprise.

Photo for proof. You can compare :) It is not complitely same but it has a lot of similar features with different buildings in San Marco square for example columns like in Doges Palace. I suppose it is gathering image...
I think I should do a message about different objects in Joskhar-Ola. For example about little copy of Spasskay tower from Moscow Kremlin
