Chapter 1.
Basilica of Saint Mary of the Flower (Florence Cathedral) is the main church of Florence. It was built in gothic style also as many churches in Florence. Also this building very familiar for them who played "Civilisation IV - Beyond the sword" because it is pictured on start page of game :)

The facade of basilica is very vivid and very detailed. There are statues of Saints and devine Maria with Christ in the middle, coats of arms from sponsors who helped with money for building, beautiful round window in the facede of Cathedral. Everything is compleated from white marble.

The magnificient roof is one of the distinctive features of this church.

The baptistery was built near Cathedral. As I wrote before it was prohibited for non-cristians to be inside of the churches.
