Pompeii is legend city which was buried under ash and soot because Mount Vesuvius eruption. It was almost 2000 years ago. Before eruption it was one of prosperious ancient cityes but after that It was lost and almost forgot. It had a seaport because sea was near the city.
Today Pompeii is a touristic place and memorial of grief of natural disaster. Unfortunatelly people didn't belive that this eruption could be fatal for them and waited till last moment. They were buried in their houses alive or asphyxiated because soot was in their lungs.

The walls and basements of houses, the columns and road pavements were saved until nowadays, but roofs were distroed under ash weight. Many mumies of people were finded there because they were saved as well. In the picture the street in Pompeii is presented.
