Tivoly is a suburb of Rome and placed on the mountain. Villa d'Este had been built here at XVI century by unlucky Cardinal who wants to be Pope and was not far from victory but everytime he had lost. After few attempts to be Pope he was absolutly desperated about that and he made a decision to create a Paradise in his home which should be better than everything in Rome. And he tried to do his best toward this goal. Of course it was impossible dream but he built very beautiful place with mansion, garden and fontains. Of course Peterhof is bigger and richer but Villa d'Este was a comparative object for Peter I, who wanted to build garden with fountains in Russia. Now Villa d'Este is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.

Main feature of fountains here is that they work due a pressure created by mountain slope from which small rivers come from.

Music fountain is the most amzing place here. It creates music due water flow passes throught organ which creates music. And I talk about melodies and not about casual sounds. It was a great ingeneering idea for XVI century.
