ох ох ох.... скучно дома сидеть комп уже задолбал, телик тем более ни че там путного нету(( сижу целыми днями рисую разные портреты, получается пока не очень, я уже видимо разучилась рисовать за долгое время линтяйнечества, надо написать еще 2 темы по французскому , а мне все лень(( рисовать как то проще чем писать темы , не знаю даже чем б еще себя занять ((

The TIG process
Gas shielded arc welding using a non-consumable tungsten electrode is called GTA in the USA and TIG (tungsten inert gas) in many other countries. This process employs an electrode made from metal with a high melting point, usually tungsten, which is not melted. This electrode and the molten pool is shielded from the atmosphere by a stream of inert gas which flows around the electrode and is directed on to the workpiece by a nozzle which surrounds the electrode.
In TIG welding the primary function of the arc is to supply heat to melt the molten pool and any filler metal which must be added separately. This is done by feeding bare filler wire mechanically or manually into the molten pool at its leading edge. The second function of the arc is to clean the surface of the molten pool and surrounding parent material of surface oxide films and therefore no flux is required. The shielding gas must be inert with respect to the tungsten electrode TIG welding can be classified as a precision welding method. The process is widely used at low welding currents to weld fractions of a millimeter in thickness and root runs in thick metal where its excellent control of fusion allows good shaped welding.
In many automatics applications the torch and any filler wire feeding device are held in a stationary fixture with the work moved underneath.
Automatic welding heads often incorporate voltage-sensing devices which raise or lower the head to follow the profile of the work and keep a constant arc length.
The TIG process is widely used for the automatic orbital welding of tubes in which a small welding head is revolved around the stationary tube and also for making tube/tuberplate joints. The attraction of this method is that it welds alloy steels, stainless steels, nickel-base alloys, aluminium alloys, even reactive metals.

Тут про сварку в защитных газах (преимущественно CO2 ) и используется фольфрамовый электрод.
