Что бы себя хоть чем-то занять, решил покопаться в своём полу терабайтном винте моего SONY и к удивлению самого себя обнаружил папочку VAIO Sample Music, с безумно красивой музыкой, которая осталась на нём ещё при установки винды япошками, собиравшими его.

Музыку, которую вы сейчас слышите в списке моих записей на главной, на столько редка, что найти исполнителя её, нужно постараться. Изъяв из файла ID3v2 теги, я открыл для себя ещё одно удивительное произведение человеческого разума. Эта музыка полностью резонирует с моими волнами.

Balún

Brought together by their love of simple melodies, 16mm films, classical and folk instruments, and experimental pop music, Balún was formed in San Juan, Puerto Rico by José Olivares and Angélica Negrón. Based in Brooklyn, NY the group now includes Andrés Fontanez, Noraliz Ruíz, Leonardo Velázquez and Justin Wolf.

In 2006 the band released their first album “Something Comes Our Way” (Brilliante Records) after years of self-releasing CD-Rs and MP3-EPs on different labels. This debut album received critical acclaim from various media outlets such as Allmusic.com, Textura, The Big Take Over, The Tripwire, and Flavorpill. Since then, the group has released new songs and remixes on different compilations appearing with artists from all over the world such as B. Fleischmann, Lullatone, Fax, Montag, I Am Robot and Proud, among others. The band moved to the United States in 2006 and has performed on venues around the country and festivals/parties such as Decibel Fest, Pop Montreal, FMEL, and NYC Popfest. They have also collaborated with illustrator Tatiana Arocha on a short film for the DVD series PSST! and with Puerto Rican experimental theater company Y No Había Luz.

Their latest mini-album, “Memoria Textil”, was self-released in February 2010 as a limited edition CD-R and as a digital download. In 2011 the group released two digital singles “Camila” (Sgulp! Discos) and “El Medio Contenido” (BEKO DSL). Currently, the band is working on new material for their 2nd full-length.
