Even though with their last record Panic At The Disco have revealed themselves as big fans of The Beatles, we knew that their vocalist’s taste in music went farther than the creators of “Yesterday” and “Let It Be”. What we didn’t imagine is that the names of Spinal Tap and Raffaella Carrà could appear together in this section. That is in fact Pretty. Odd.



What was the first record you bought?

“Weezer’s Blue Album. I’m very addicted to Cuomo’s first records.”



What is the last record you bought?

“When we were at Abbey Road I realized that I didn’t have The Beatles’ Abbey Road, so I bought it. But the last one was Bob Marley’s Rastaman Vibration.”



Which album changed your life?

“Weezer were a big influence for me, The Blue Album wasn’t just the first record I bought but it also meant a lot to me at that time. Besides, it was one of the bands that I learned to play drums with.”



Which album do you listen to very often?

“Lately I’ve been listening to Sam Cooke a lot. He had an amazing voice. I try to learn from him.”



What is your favorite album cover?

“I don’t know if you know about a really freaky 80’s comedy called This Is Spinal Tap. It’s like a fake documentary about a metal band that’s touring. One of the albums that they supposedly release is called Smell The Glove and has a very surrealistic cover. It’s a girl that represents being forced to smell a glove. It’s so ridiculous that it makes me laugh.”



What about the worst?

“Mmm, how difficult… I don’t like to criticize other artists’ work, really. Our first album, maybe? (laughs). If I had to say one, I would say one by Journey. I like their music, but for some reason I don’t like their albums’ covers that much.”



Which album would you give to your best friend as a gift?

“I don’t give them our albums, I don’t have many friends and I want to keep the ones I have near (laughs). I don’t know which I would give him right know, but I can tell you that I recently lent a friend The Shins last record.”



Which album would you give to your worst enemy?

“Ufff… Do you know an Italian singer called Raffaella Carrà? I remember the first time I listened to one of her songs called Do It, Do It Again. Oh my god, what a horror!”



Which album would you use to seduce a person of the opposite sex?

“I guess it would sound very typical, but clearly Barry White. He’s the master of seduction.”



And which one would you use to seduce someone of the same sex?

“The same (laughs).”



What is the most embarrassing album you’ve got in your collection?

“I’ve got one by some guys from New Zeland who are called The Flight Of The Conchords that is pretty ridiculous. They’re kind of like Tenacious D, but they don’t play metal but something like folk, they try to make not very serious music but it’s pretty ridiculous. I think I bought it a day that I was drunk (laughs).”



What is the best album in your parent’s collection?

“Anything by Genesis.”



In which album would you have liked to participate?

“Jazz by Queen”



An album from the 70’s?

“Something by Elton John”



An album from the 80’s?

“The Head On The Door by The Cure”



An album from the 90’s?

“Dizzy Up The Girl by Goo Goo Dolls”



Is there any song you usually sing in the shower?

“I usually sing Sublime songs”



What song would you like played at your funeral?

“Although I might seem paranoid, I’ve thought several times about it. I think I would choose something with the typical circus march beat or something similar (laughs).”
