Pg.99 (also spelled "pageninetynine") was a punk band from Sterling, Virginia on the outskirts of Washington, D.C. The band formed as a 6-piece in winter 1998 and later expanded to an 8-piece. Always changing members, they once played as a 14 member outfit. pg. 99 were known for terrifying live shows, which were absolutely deafening due to the number of amplifiers.
In Connecticut, pg. 99 attendees spawned a number of "theme shows" where audience members descended on the pit adorned with items of the evenings theme. Themes included "pool noodle mosh" where the pit was full of foam pool noodles, the "Braveheart mosh" where audience members dressed as Scottish warriors and battled in the pit, and the infamous "pillow fight mosh" where almost half the crowd wore pajamas and battled each other with pillows.
After several US tours, a European tour, and numerous releases, they disbanded in May 2003.
