How to Make a Girl Look Like a Boy

It's sometimes tough for girls to dress like boys. For one thing, hair may fall out of hats, or you might say something to another person that's strange for guys to say. This article will help girls dress like boys, whether it's for Halloween or for other reasons.

Cover your head. You see on TV shows how they just simply shove hair in a hat, but that will not work. Get a wig cap and stuff your hair into that. Then get a hat with a picture of anything, as long as it's not a girly hat.

Get clothes. Either go in the boy's section of a store and get your size, or find a boyish outfit in your closet. Make sure the shirts are loose (you can also wear an FTM binder or a tight strapless bra to hide your chest), and the jeans are straight-legged and hide your curves. Then wear a boyish pair of shoes, like high tops (But ones that are black or something, don't wear a girly pair!

Talk like a boy. Boys don't say "OMG!" or "pretty", and that's very important. Say stuff they would say, like "dude" or "sick", or cuss. Then, get the voice of a boy by talking in a deeper voice, but not so deep it sounds fake. Ask other friends what they think of your guy voice.

Act like a boy. Guys slap shoulders and fist bump, and talk about video games. They don't giggle, look at their nails, or touch their hair. Also, when you're sitting or standing, guys take up a lot of space. Instead of crossing your legs, try to spread them and lean back a little.

Have the props of a guy. A guy won't have a pink cell phone or purse, obviously! A guy would carry around a skateboard, a backpack, or an iPod.

Don't act like an elementary school boy. An elementary school boy would be really into burping and hate girls. Guys are into girls. When you see girls walk by, pretend not to notice them unless asked. If asked your opinion about the girl then just say if you think she's cute or hot, or whatever...Don't use the word pretty.

Don't get worried. If you're really worried about pretending to be a guy, then it'll tell when your voice is so deep it's fake and you accidentally say "OMG". Practice for a few days and then tell yourself you're just going on with a normal day.

Don't wear make-up. You probably think this may help, or that you know a way to use it to look boyish, but it won't. Leave your face plain and make-up free. (Not even concealer or foundation!)

Don't listen to girly music around other people.

Ask another boy how to act. This might not be accurate compared to what the boys you'll be hanging out with, but this article has the average act of an average boy.
Watch how guys walk, or talk, and try to imitate them.

edit Warnings

Don't impersonate another boy to try to harass or threaten, or else you'll probably be caught and arrested! Act like a boy from another school or is homeschooled, but never impersonate, unless given permission.
There will be people who will figure you out and give you weird looks. Just shrug it off and smile, and laugh at their confusion.
