Almost everywhere in Uk there are hundreds and thousand of emigrants from all over the world said Immigration Research and Statistics Service, Home Office.
Last year about 120 thousands of Russians came to study and work in UK.
Anton Koval, an immigratiot lawyer said : "Only in 2006 a quarter of a million natives from easten-european countries have Came to England, and their number continuously grows. Why people are leaving their families and homes? The answer is simple: the fish searches where the sea is more deep, the human - where the life is better"
The modern generation of the Russian citizens knows about the world surrounding us much more than our parents. The free crossing of the borders which have become possible after disintegration of Soviet Union, and the increased level of possession of foreign languages allows Russians not only to have a rest on beaches of Turkey and Egypt, to admire locks of France and Spain, but also to try the forces in the West-European business.
" Legally to work in the Great Britain is possible in two ways: to achieve the sanction to work (Work Permit) or to receive the visa under program Highly Skilled Migrant Programme in abbreviated form called HSMP. This program become very popular in last few years in England, it allows highly skilled professionals of a foreign origin to live and work in the Great Britain, and in 6 years time receive the British citizenship and the English passport.", he added.
This is legal ways, but now certainly, many people choose an illegal, dangerous and expensive variant. Many of them try to take advantage of a refuge, they don not really have any rights in England, they are just political prisoners.
"Lots of Russian people were coming to UK and applying for asylum. Let me just show you some statistics. Last year about 1000 people from Russia applyed for asylum. Just 25 of them were recognised as refugee and granted asylum and 935 of them were refused and send back home to Russia straight away.Anyway, their motivation to come here is the same, as ours - to change destiny. Today's migrants are ready to risk almost everything, but it illustrates a fundamental postulate: movement of people from the poor and uncomfortable states to rich and stable is inevitable, as water goes from up to down. you can not stop migration, same as you can not stop water. If movements of water is force of the nature, than migration is force of history. A question is not in how it to stop, but how to control it”, concluded mr.Koval.
John Sherry, 37 was charged today in a Kingston Crown Court with an attempt to murder his wife Shelagh Sherry, 30.
On the night of 13 of July 2007 Shelagh Sherry, mother of three, woke up because,as she claims, her husband, an accountant from Kingston, wearing a mask was strangling her.
The victim Shelagh Sherry said : " I woke up with a start. My blood ran cold and I just knew there was someone standing by my bed in the dark... Before I could even put the lights on, I felt the hands going round my neck. He was strangling me."
The court heard that it was not the first attempt to attack his wife, made by John Sherry.
Mrs. Sherry added : " I was immediately terrified because of the previous attacks my estranged husband John has made on me."
Even though Ms. Sherry gave her evidence, her husband John Sherry denies an attempt to murder.
The defence counsel Harold Staines asked jury to ignore what Shelagh Sherry alleged about previous attacks by her husband.
Despite that the assaulter was wearing a mask Ms. Sherry claims that she recognised her husband.
Than the prosecuting counsel Mrs. Charlotte Stephens asked victim how does she know that it was her husband, Ms. Sherry revealed : " We have been married for ten years : a mask couldn't hide who he was., This man was Johns built and height - he even smelled like John. I could also see the scar on his hand from his bike accident two years ago as he strangled me. "
It was also heard that the attack only stopped than the youngest daughter, aged ten, enter the room.
During the evidence Shelagh Sherry said that it was only when her youngest child came into her bedroom crying, after waking up with a headache, the attack stopped and the masked attacker escaped through the window of bedroom.
