TIZIANO FERRO is 23 years old and comes from a small city near Rome called Latina. After successfully graduating from High School, Tiziano enrolled himself in two university careers: Engineering (for one year) and Communications... however, his mind was already somewhere else: music. [331x400]

 
At 7 Tiziano already showed great interest in music, as by this age he already had his first guitar. Later on, he also studied drums and piano. In his early teens he began writing his first songs and then, at 16, he ventured into a more mature musical direction by joining his local gospel choir in his hometown. His experiences in the choir drew him even more to black music and this is where he developed his real passion for music: “No doubt, music is my greatest love” says Tiziano.
 
It was in 1997 that Tiziano was discovered by producers Mara Majonchi and Alberto Salerno. For two years they coached him intensively in singing and composing, until they found Michele Canova, who proved to be the right arranger to fulfil Tiziano’s music needs. With the right team behind him, Tiziano knocked on literally every record company’s doors until eventually it was EMI spotted his commitment and snapped him up for a recording contract by on May 2001.
 
EMI released his first single, “PERDONO”, in July 2001 and was a huge hit. Within a few weeks, the single shot to number one at both radio and sales singles charts. It stayed at the top of the charts for four straight weeks and went on to become the third best selling single in Italy in 2001.

The monumental breakthrough obtained with his first single set the path for the release of the “ROSSO RELATIVO” album. This album was a mix of R&B and contemporary pop and communicated all the emotions that Tiziano has inside. The 12 songs that comprise the album were written by Tiziano and proved that he is far from being considered a one-hit wonder artist.
 
The album was released in Italy in October 2001 and was warmly received by both media and fans alike and hailed as one of the best records of the year. It debuted at #8 on the Italian album sales chart, remaining in the Top 10 in Italy for more than 7 months and in the Top 50 for more than one year (60 weeks in total). It eventually achieved triple platinum status for sales of more than 300,000 albums.
 
The “ROSSO RELATIVO”, album has been released so far in 42 countries across the world (mainly Europe and Latin America). It has also been released in countries as diverse such as Arabia, South Africa, Japan and New Zealand.
 
During the last two years of promotion which has seen Tiziano travel all over from Italy to Brazil, from Poland to Chile….Whilst this has meant lots and lots of exhausting trips, hours, days, weeks spent in hotel rooms, airport halls, limousines, TV studios and radio stations, Tiziano has also managed to write the material for his second album, which he started recording in May 2003, once again having Michele Canova as arranger.
 
“111” is the title of Tiziano Ferro’s second long-awaited album. It certainly means a step ahead in the musical direction that Tiziano has decided to stamp on his career, from the very beginning. A mature album, be it in terms of music as well as lyrics, “111” which will be released on November 7th in Italy as well as in some 40 countries simultaneously. [600x532]
 
The first gem from this new work is “Perverso” which will be the leading single. It is being sent to radio as of September 12^th.
